We hear a lot about “Net Zero” and “Low Emission Zones” but here in Easterhouse & Springburn, we’re still dodging potholes and stepping over fly-tipped rubbish.
Let’s be honest: how can we talk about saving the planet when we can’t even keep our streets clean?
Litter isn’t just ugly. It harms public health, attracts pests, damages our mental wellbeing, and raises costs for everyone. Overflowing bins near homes and schools lead to more NHS strain especially in vulnerable communities.

The SNP, Labour, Greens and Lib Dems push costly green slogans while ignoring the basics. We need to fix our communities before taxing them.
As your Scottish Conservative candidate, I’m committed to:
- Tackling fly-tipping and litter with serious enforcement
- Reinvesting in local clean-up teams and street infrastructure
- Rebuilding public pride with neighbourhood-led clean-up schemes
And yes we’ll do our bit for Net Zero, but starting with nature-first, people-focused actions: tree planting, community gardens, and education from early years.
Clean streets are a symbol of respect. I will fight for every street in this constituency to reflect that respect.
Let’s get the basics right for our children, our health, and our future.
